Jaden's Ladder to host "Bright Lights, Big City" Black & White Gala fundraiser for Boston Chapter
Domestic Violence Non-Profit Puts Victims on the Road to Independence
BOSTON, MA - Jaden's Ladder will host its fourth annual "Bright Lights, Big City Gala" on April 14, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel located at 10 Avery Street in Boston. The event commences with a VIP private reception at 6:00 p.m. and doors open to the public from 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. This annual event will feature a performance by R&B recording artist and American Idol Season 2 winner, Ruben Studdard, and appearances by NFL Great Marshall Faulk and former NBA player Joseph Henry "Jo Jo" White. The event includes entertainment by DJ Roy Barboza, surprise celebrity guests, dinner, live and silent auctions and dancing. Coach Willie Maye, of NESN and NBA TV, will preside over the evening as Master of Ceremonies.
Over the past four years, the gala has helped Jaden's Ladder to raise almost three quarters of a million dollars to help survivors and their families establish lives that are free from domestic violence. The goal for this event is to break the million dollar donation mark.
Founded in October 2004, Jaden's Ladder provides life-enhancing, post-shelter programs and support that builds confidence and fosters self-reliance for survivors of domestic violence and their families. Despite tremendous progress domestic violence is still an epidemic. Oneta Bobbett, a domestic violence survivor and co-founder of Jaden's Ladder said, "Jaden's Ladder is committed to fighting this abuse by empowering survivors of domestic violence with the tools they need to end their reliance on their abusers and become emotionally and financially independent. We look forward to this being our most successful event in Boston yet."
Ruben Studdard, R&B recording artist and Season 2 American Idol winner stated, "I am happy to be a part of an event that raises money to help victims of domestic violence overcome their obstacles and transform their lives."

The event is open to the public and tickets are available at $175 per person. All proceeds will be donated to the organization.
